An item dated Washington 25 March reported that the US navy was experimenting already some time with two large flying boats. These planes were suitable for defence and attack purposes being heavy bombers and armed with heavy machineguns and nicknamed flying battleships. If all the tests were satisfying was probably a new squadron created consisting of thirty of these planes.
