An item reported that the fast bark ship Margaretha Catharina captain J.H. Schippers with excellent passenger accommodation was to depart medio December to the Netherlands. For more details could be asked at the captain in Samarang or P. Suermondt&Co. in Batavia.(1)

1. The website http://www.scheepsindex.nl/schip.php?i=5365 reports that she was built in Amsterdam in 1825 as de Welvaart for L. Schumacher and renamed 1835 Margaretha Catharina as property of H. Angelkot Willink until 1844. The newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 22 July 1826 published an item dated Amsterdam 20 July reporting that the same day that the frigate ship de Welvaart was launched at the shipyard de Oranjeboom by shipbuilders A. de Graaf en zoonen for Louis Schumacher.
