An announcement reported that the very fast coppered 1st class Dutch brig ship Libra captain G. Koster was lying in Rotterdam destined directly towards Montevideo of Buenos Aires on 31 October. For more details could be asked at shipbrokers P.A. van Es&Co.(1)

The newspaper Algemeen Dagblad dated 8 March 1856 published an item dated Joure 5 March that the same day with success the copper tightened brig Libra of crica 175 roggelasten build by S. Geerts&Zoon was launched for Anes&van Dam in Rotterdam with captain G. van Os. See further the website http://www.scheepsindex.nl/schip.php?i=9165 which reported that she was built in 1856 at the shipyard of Symen Geerts in Joure and that she was sold in 1883 to be broken up.
