Royal Netherlands Navy handing over Morokrembangan and planes to Indonesia according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuwsblad voor Sumatra dated Wednesday 11 October 1950
An item reported that on the morning of last Saturday the airport Morokrembangan was handed over by the Royal Netherlands Navy to the Indonesia navy the Alri. The handed over planes consisting of some Catalina’s en Dakota’s and the workshops were to be manned with personnel of the Indonesian air force the Auri and were to be transport to the airports in Bandung and Singosari. Morokrembangan was for the coming period not to be used as military airport. The large building complex was to be used for accommodating the Alri trainings coming from Udjing.
