Turkey National Congress approved budget for buying merchant ships according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 30 April 1935

An item dated Istanbul 29 April reported that the National Congress approved the budget of 10.000.000 Turkish pounds for extending the merchant fleet by buying eleven new ships.
