Dutch bark ship Cheribon launched at Rotterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 7 April 1855

An item dated Vlaardingen 5 April reported that the keel of the bark ship Cheribon of 400 lasten was laid down at the shipyard of S. van Gijn en Zoon for P. van Rossum at Rotterdam.
