River gunboat C.F. 1 of France 1926->1941



Part of the so-called Rhine flotillas stationed at Strasbourg was this steel-bottomed river gunboat built at Brest in 1926. With a displacement of 40 tons were her approximately dimensions 60 x 12 x 4 feet. The two Bettus-Loire type semi-diesel oil engines supplied 2x80 hp allowing a speed of 10 knots. Her armament consisted of 12pdr gun and two machineguns. According to the website warsailers.com was she on 22 February 1941 brought from Strasbourg towards Rotterdam and there destroyed during a British air attack on 30 April the same year.
