Tasks of the Indonesian federal police according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 4 March 1957

An item dealing with the patrol service of the Indonesian federal police made clear that the first priority was to prevent smuggling and inspecting ships. Further more was she responsible for transport police authorities. Available were 58 patrol vessels of which 27 patrol boats and 31 harbour patrol vessels.
