British gunboat HMS Valerian sunk according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland morning edition dated 27 October 1926

An item dated London 26 October reported that 4 officers and 81 sailors were missing of the gunboat Valerian sunk during the hurricane at the Antilles.(1)

1. A sloop of the Arabis-class which was launched at the shipyard of Rennoldson on 21 February 1916 and lost on 22 October 1926 off Bermuda.
