Dutch shipyard breaking up former Russian USA built motor torpedo boats according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 12 June 1956

An item reported that 17 of the 38 Russian small warships sold to Dutch firms to be broken up arrived in the evening of yesterday at Groningen and were now lying in the locks of Oosterhoogebrug. It were former motor torpedo boats built at American yards and during the Second World War leased to the Soviet Union. Some days ago were they collected at Bremerhaven by two tugs arrived Sunday evening at Delfzijl. The morning the newspaper was published were the vessels early in the morning departed towards Lemmer destined for Puttershoek where they were to be broken up.
