An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that the British river gunboat HMS Moorhen was launched at the shipyard of Yarrow. She ws built for service on the Chinese rivers. Her dimensions were 48,75 x 7,45 x 0,68 metres . The hull built of galvanized steel was divided into 12 separate compartments which were in the water connected to each other. The armament consisted of 2-5,7cm guns and 6 maxims.
