An item reported that the British shipping company
Bowring Steamship Company at London ordered the building of a 15.000 ton bulk
carrier at the Dutch shipyards Verolmes Verenigde Scheepswerven. She was to be
delivered by the yard at Rozenburg in begin 1967.(1)

January 1967 reported that on next Thursday a 45.000 ton bulk carrier with a
length of 206 metres
was to be baptized M.S. London Bridge and to be launched two days later.
