American torpedo boat USS Ericsson launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1894-1895 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Army and Navy Journal reported that on 12 May at Dubuque, Iowa the American torpedo boat USS Ericsson was launched. With a displacement of 120 ton were her main dimensions 150’x 15¼’x 4¾’(medium). The horsepower of 1.800 ihp allowed a minimum speed of 24 miles. The coal bunker capacity should be larger as usual. The armament consisted of 2-18 torpedo guns suitable for Whitehead torpedoes and one torpedo tube for launching Howell torpedoes and 4-1pd quick firing guns.
