British Royal Navy stopped producing Whitehead-torpedoes according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1895-1896 no. 12

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht dated February 1896 reporting that the British Royal Navy seemed to ordered to stop the manufacturing of Whitehead-torpedoes and form now on just produce a new model torpedo produced by Walwich. These new torpedoes were far more powerful as the Whiteheads and already were the battleships HMS Majestic and Magnificent fitted out with them.
