Laid down at the Baltiysky Naval Shipyard, St. Petersburg, Russia on 27 July 1978m launched in 26 May 1981, commissioned on 31 October 1984, decommissioned with the intention to be broken up lacking money for maintenance in 1999, nuclear fuel removed 2004-2005, laid up at Abrek Bay, Fokino. Of the Kirov-class (Project 1144 Orlan).
Displacement 24.300 (standard)-28.000 (full load) tons with as dimensions 230 (waterline)-252 (over all) x 28,5 x 9,1 metres or 750-827 x 94 x 30 feet. Two shaft CONAS nuclear propulsion with steam turbine boost supplying 140.000 ship allowing a speed of 32 knots and a range of 1.000 nautical miles with a speed of 30 knots. Her crew numbered 727 men. The armament consist of 20P Granit (SS-N-19 Shipwreck) AShM’s, 16x8 (totally 128) SA-N-9 surface to air missiles. 12x8 (totally 96) S-300PMU Favorit SA-N-6 Grumble surface-to-air missiles, 44 OSA0MA(SA-N-Gecko) PD Sam’s, 2-25,4cm RBU-12000 (Udav-1) ASW rocket launchers, 2-30,5cm RBU-1000 ASW rocket launchers, 1x2-13cm AK-130 mm/L70 dual pupose gun, 10-53,3cm ASW/ASuW torpedo tubes for launching Type 53 torpedoes or SS-N-15 ASW missiles and 8-3cm AK-630 hex gatling L60 PD guns. She is also slightly armoured with 7,5cm armour around the reactor room and light splinter protection.
Able to take with her 3 Kamov Ka-27 Helix or Ka-25 Hormone and fitted out for this purpose with a deck hangar below.
