Dutch screw steam tug Nieuwediep for sale at Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 24 November 1868
An announcement reported
the intended sale by C.A. Schröder, G.J. Boelen, A. Roland Horst and W. Bakker
Bz. on Monday 28 December at 18.00 o’clock in the Nieuwe Stads Herberg at the
IJ, Amsterdam
of the iron-built decked screw steam tug Nieuwediep which served on the
Noord-Hollands Kanaal. She was lying along the shipyard het Witte Kruis, Kleine
Kattenburgerstraat, Amsterdam.
Dimensions 17,10 x 3,4 x 1,90 (hold) metres and a measurement of 29 tonnes. Her
pair of 50hp directly working high pressure engines were manufactured in the
factory of Regnier Poncelet at Luik,
Belgium.
