An item dated Thameshaven the 11th reported that last nigh a fire broke out on board of the steam tankship Pectan berthed along the Petroleum wharf. With the engine room put under water was the fire extinguished around 03.30 o’clock. One men was wounded. Due to the damage was she not able to depart.
