The Brazilian navy according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 26 July 1824

London, 20 July. A packet boat which arrived from Brazil take with some letters from Rio Janeiro dated until 20 May reporting of the fitting out of an expedition with unknown destination. Commanding officer was Lord Cochrane who had some Brazilian warships and some transports.
