Iowa-class
New York, 11 July. According to tidings from Washington intended the department of navy to request the Congress to approve the building of two more battleships of 45,000 ton. The keels of two battleships of this class namely the Iowa and the New Jersey were some weeks ago laid down while on stocks were also 6 battleships of 35,000 ton. Naval experts claimed that 35,000 tons battleships were not larger large enough to confront each situation in contrary to the 45,000 tons. This caused the building of two more of these large ships despite their building costs of 100,000,000 dollars each!
