Naval operations of the Dutch East Company at Siam [Thailand] according to the Generale Missive dated 31 March 1740

The Land van Beloften and Den Dam arrived 25 March at Batavia while departing from Siam 2 February with letters from the king, the phra-klang and personnel of the company and cargo’s valued fl. 154.701.  They were loaded with 882.000 lb spanwood, 147.400 lb ton, 863 lb elephant ivory, 232.500 lb lead, 36.000 lb gum on sticks, 4.560 lb wax, 4.300 lb buffalo horns, 100 pots atjar bamboo, 30 pots, red pinang chalk, 1.060 reaal gold and finally 10 pieces of ‘thalas etter of roses’(?)
