Naval operations of the Dutch East Company at Malacca according to the Generale Missive dated 5 April 1743

Letters from this factory dated 26 October arrived at Batavia with the pantjalang Lamadjang, coming via Cheribon. The crews of the Gaasperdam, Buvegnie and the captured (‘afgelopen’) tandjongpoura het Rheedje were supplied with stores valued fl. 978. The civilian Van Dorth complained over his compensation for his sloop Reiger lost during the expedition towards Wadjo and he asked to compensate his lost grapnel and cable belonging to his small vessel Oranje. The Beekvliet was after being stranded at the Laars by her crew caulked and departed towards Banda.
