The navy dry dock at New York according to the Senate executive documents 1857-1858

Thanks to the fact that nowadays more and more books are digitized we are able to read books that are some times for decades no longer available for the public for several reasons. That’s quite a pity while these books contains useful information while the archives are destroyed, incomplete or nor accessible.

P. 664: “Thee stone dry dock at New York is now in good working order. Some of the stones near the entrance which had been affected by frost, have been relaid, and the gates have been thoroughly cleaned and painted.
