F. Kloos of Alblasserdam, Netherlands received concession for a towing service according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 12 September 1862

An item reported that the minister of home affairs by decision dated the 9th allowed F. Kloos shipbuilder at Alblasserdam and business associates to start a steam towing service on the rivers Ijssel, Rijn, Waal, Maas, Noord and the Merwede.
