French admiral asked merchant shipping to hoist the mouning flag on Good Friday according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 19 March 1910

An item referred to the newspaper Univers in which the well known vice admiral De Cuverville (1) all ship owners, captains and masters of the merchant marine asked to hoist again on Good Friday the mourning flag according to old catholic tradition. In 1901 abolished the cabinet this tradition on board of the navy.
