Russian prisoners of war in Japan according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 25 June 1904

An item dated Seoul reported that the steamship Mandsjoeria visited the arsenals at Kure and Sasebo and the prisoners at Matsoegama. On board were members of the Japanese Parliament, Admiralty and press. The steamship Mansjoe-maru arrived in the evening of the 22nd at Tsjemoelpo with on board around 590 Russian prisoners of war. She met on the 16th the steamship Tosa-maru returning to Japan with on board the survivors of the Sado-maru which was stranded near Maji.
