American whaler Favorite lying in November 1864 at Honolulu according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 17 January 1865

An item referred to a letter written by captain Young on board of the bark Favorite of Fairhaven. She was lying on 15 November 1864 at Honolulu with a catch of 240 barrels whale oil and 4.000 lbs after a cruise in the Arctic. The oil was transferred to the Tamerlane of and destined for New Bedford and the bone to the Helen Mar bound for Boston. The intention was to go Westward and hunt the coming season in the Arctic.
