Wreck sold of British frigate ship Marathon according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 29 September 1861

An announcement reported the auction on Tuesday 1 October at Noordwijk aan Zee of the wreck of the coppered frigate ship Marathon stranded there on the 18^th/ The request for the auction was done by the British vice-consul G.A. Taijlor, apparently living at Nieuwediep, Netherlands.
