Dutch brig Zr.Ms. Sirene bound for the Dutch West Indies to replace the Zr.Ms. Panter according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 9 March 1830

An item reported that the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Syrene (1) captain Van der Graaf on that moment serving in the Mediterranean was destined for the Dutch West Indies to replace their the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Panther.(2)

1. Brig, also called Sirene, on stocks at Amsterdam, Netherlands December 1817, launched 11 July 1819, wrecked 1831, 20 guns.
2. Brig 1st, laid down on 24 June 1823 at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands by C. Soetermeer, stricken 1845, dimensions 31,5 x 9,3 x 4,5 (depth of hold) metres and armament 18 guns.
