An item reported that the Dutch king promoted the already pensioned colonel B. Bischoff to the rank of general major and to take the command over the army in the Dutch East Indies. He was to be brought by the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Nehalennia towards Java, Dutch East Indies.
