Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Pallas returning home, Zr.Ms. Komeet for sale and Zr.Ms. Pelikaan joining North Sea Squadron according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 7 July 1836

An item reported that the Dutch crown decided that the Dutch corvette Pallas (1) serving in the Dutch West Indies and commanded by her first officer was to return September back to Helevoetsluis, Netherlands. Captain Ruys who also commanded the Dutch naval force in the Dutch West Indies was to return with her. Further more was a public auction of the condemned Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Komeet (2) ordered. The Dutch brig Zr.Ms. Pellikaan (3) captain lieutenant baron Rengers left on the 2nd Texel Netherlands to join the North Sea squadron.

1. Used for training duties, on stocks at the navy yard at Rotterdam, Netherlands November 1822 by P. Glavimans Jz., launched 29 November 1824, docked at the navy yard at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands 17 July-1September 1837 for examination, found further repaired unworthy and sold on a public auction for ƒ 5.000, dimensions 130 x 34½ x 17 8/11 (hold) feet and an armament of 28 guns.
2. Komeet, also called Comeet, ‘kuil’corvette, Department Rotterdam, on stocks at navy yard at Rotterdam, Netherlands by P. Glavimans Jz. in February or on 4 March 1817, launched 28 November 1818, docked and coppered at the navy yard at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands 22 May-7 June 1819, served also in the Dutch West and East Indies, nearly captured at Antwerp, Belgium when a sudden wind pushed her to the quay 19 December 1831, condemned, auction at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands on at 12.45 o’clock Thursday 22 September 1836, dimensions 130 x 34 1/11 x 17 8/11 (hold) feet  and an armament of 28 guns.
3. Department Amsterdam, building ordered 15 January 1819, on stocks at navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands August 1819 by P. Schuijt jr., 11 January 1820 ordered to be completed, launched 15 June 1821, coppered 1821, order 11 February 1822 to be completed in 1822, commissioned 1 March 1823, condemned 1844,sold 1845 at Paramaribo, Surinam for ƒ 1.000, displacement 191 tons, dimensions 22,6 (load line) x 7,1 (inner hull) x 2,7 (fore)-3,4 (aft) X 3,6 (below maindeck) metres and an armament of 8 guns consisting of 6-12pd carronades and 2-6pd guns.
