Austrian corvette Dandolo visited Netherlands coming from England and bound for Scotland according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag dated 29 April 1872

An item dated Nieuwediep, Netherlands the 26th reported the arrival that same afternoon on the Austrian corvette Dandolo commanded by Stephenson coming from Sheerness, England. After loading coal was she bound for Edinburg, Scotland on her training voyage.(1)

Of the Erzherzog Friedrich-class, laid down at the shipyard at Venice, Italy on 26 September 1854, launched on 7 August 1858, completed in February 1859, gunnery training ship in 1879, converted into an accommodation ship between 1881 and 1882, renamed Schwarzenberg and used as training ship at Sebenico (nowadays Sibevik), Croatia 1890 and finally stricken between 1900 and 1901.
