Russian navy searching for suitable paint for underwater hulls acoroding to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 4 March 1898

An item reported that a Russian technical committee hold a competition with a price of 3.000 rubles for a suitable paint for the outside of the underwater hull of the Russian warships. During a period of two years was the paint to be tested.
