MMSI 431999517. Of the Asagiri-class which is an improved Hatsuyuki-class design. Laid down at the IHI Corporation, Tokyo, Japan on 13 February 1985, launched on 19 September 1986 and commissioned on 17 March 1988. A displacement of 3.500 (standard)-4.900 (full load) tons and as dimensions 137 x 14,6 x 4,5 x 8,8 metres or 449.6 x 47.11 x 14.9 x 28.10 (depth) feet. Speed 30 knots. A crew numbering 220 men. The armament consisted of 1 anti-submarine helicopter, 1-7,6cm gun, 2-2cm Phalanx CIWS systems, 2-quad Harpoon SSM launchers, 1-Mk29 Sea Sparrow SAM octuple launcher, 1-Mk16 AROC anti-submarine rocket octuble launcher and 2x3-32,4cm/12.8’ torpedo tubes.
