French privateer le Brave captured the British sloop Elizabeth according to the Dutch newspaper Koninklijke courant dated 10 March 1809

An item reported the arrival on the 6^th at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands of the French privateer le Brave captain Swartsdorff coming from sea with a prize. Earlier that day she captured off Scheveningen, Netherlands the British sloop Elizabeth captain Jacob Web coming from Harwich, England and loaded with 225 bales of cotton yarn and 8 bales of cinnamon.
