An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 3rd reported the departure of the British steam warship Lizard captain Portol or Portal towards Australia at 06.00 o‘clock from the harbour of Tandjong Priok.(1)

1. Composite built, launched at the shipyard of Harland&Wolff, Belfast, Ireland on 27 November 1886 and finally sold to be broken up at Sydney, Australia in 1905. Main armament consisted of 6-4”guns.
