Dutch tug Novelty acting as icebreaker in the Kanaal door Zuid Beveland, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated Wednesday 6 March 1895

An item reported that on Saturday afternoon the tug Novelty started to act as an icebreaker in the Kanaal door Zuid-Beveland. Due to the thickness of the ice the work just slowly progressed.
