Italian patrol boat Sparviero (P 420) 1971-1991
Of the Sparviero hydrofoil missile boats class. Ordered in 1970, laid down by Alinavi, La Spezia, Italy on in April 1971, launched on 9 May 1973, commissioned on 15 July 1981 and decommissioned on 30 September 1991. . Designed by the Alinavi society using the design of the USS Tucumcari made by Boeing. Displacement 60,6 (full load) tons and as dimensions 22,92-24,56 (hydrofoils retracted) x 7,01 x 1,45 (on hydrofoils at speed)-1,87 metres or 75.4-80.7 x 23.0 x 4.0-7.2 feet. Original factory brochure claims a beam of 10,77-12,06 (hydrofoils retracted) metres. Speed 8 (on the diesel)-45 (operational)-50 (maximum) knots. Range with a speed of 45 knots 740 kilometres and at 8 knots 1.940 kilometres. The armament of this calls varied between 1-7,6cm Otobreda gun and 2 Otomat anti ship missiles or 1M61 Vulcan and 4 type 90- ship-to-ship missiles.
