German navy building unsinkable battle cruiser according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1915-1916 no. 6

An item referred to the newspaper Revista Maritima published at Rome, Italy which reported that Germany built an unsinkable warship. It should be a new kind of battle cruiser armoured with 3 armour layers with between a soft material for a better protection against shells and torpedoes. Other rumours claimed it was a dreadnought cruiser with probably a main armament of 37,5 or 42.5cm guns. The horsepower seemed to be 100.000 hp or even more. There were doubts of what kind of vessel it had to be, but believed was that it could not be an converted ship. The writer pointed out that the Germans would probably built a heavy armoured ship with a limited speed, although better protected than any other ship of the battle fleet. The Kieler canal limited the dimensions of the German warships resulting in a fighting value limited to the possible displacement.
