Calculations of the influence of armament and speed on the displacement while building battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1917/1918 no. 3

An item referred to the American magazine Scientific American dated 3 March 1917 which published a table showing how an increase of speed and armour influenced an increasing displacement with a armament of 12-35,6cm guns.
With an armour thickness of 34,3cm and a speed of 21 miles was the displacement 32.000 tons.
With an armour thickness of 34,3cm and a speed of 26 miles was the displacement 45.000 tons.
With an armour thickness of 34,3cm and a speed of 29 miles was the displacement 59.000 tons.
With an armour thickness of 34,3cm and a speed of 32 miles was the displacement 79.000 tons.
With an armour thickness of 34,3cm and a speed of 35miles was the displacement 102.000 tons.
With an armour thickness of 20,3cm and a speed of 26 miles was the displacement 30.750 tons.
With an armour thickness of 20,3cm and a speed of 29 miles was the displacement 39.500 tons.
With an armour thickness of 20,3cm and a speed of 32 miles was the displacement 53.500 tons.
With an armour thickness of 20,3cm and a speed of 35 miles was the displacement 80.000 tons.
