Dutch shipyard Kon. Mij. De Schelde at Vlissingen, Netherlands delivered drinking water coolers for Dutch Hr. Ms. Jacob van Heemskerck and Holland in 1908

In the order administration dated 7 February 1908 was the order for account of the Dutch Department of Navy described as the delivery of two drinking water coolers for the Dutch ships Hr. Ms. Heemskerck (1) en Holland (2). Accepted price ƒ 4.000. Building costs totally ƒ 3.000 (material ƒ 2.550,14, labour ƒ 254,18, expenses ƒ 165,21, drawings ƒ 30,47) resulting in a profit of ƒ 1.000.(1)

1. Armoured cruiser .Laid down at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 15 August 1905, launched on 22 September 1906, converted into a floating battery and commissioned as the Ijmuiden on 19 April 1939, scuttled by her own crew on 14 May 1940, salvaged by German forces and rebuilt at Kiel in 1941 into floating aircraft battery Undine, after the Second World War converted into floating barracks and sold to be broken up in 1975.
2. Protected cruiser laid down at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 6 May 1895, launched on 4 October 1896 and sold by the Director of the navy, Den Helder to be broken up on Wednesday 21 January 1920 at 11:00 o’clock for 126.275 to G.B. Pas&Zn., Bolnes, Netherlands.
