Cuban protected cruiser Cuba and training ship built in USA according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1912 no. 1

An item reported that on 10 October [1911] at {William Cramp, Philadelphia, USA a protected cruiser and a training ship for account of Cuba were launched. The protected cruiser Cuba had a displacement 2.055 tons and as dimensions 79,25 x 11,88 metres. Speed 16 knots. Armament 2-10cm guns, 4-4,7cm quick firing guns and a number of machineguns. Price 2.550.000 francs. The training Patria had a displacement of 1.200 tons and a dimensions 56,3 x 10,36 metres. Speed 16 knots. The armament consisted of 2-4,7cm quick firing guns and 2-3,7cm quick firing guns. Building costs 1.190.000 francs.
