Royal British Navy building fast battleships according to the Dutch magazine Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 2

Queen Elizabeth-class

An item reported that the latest British battleships which were in fact of a new type due to their high speed without offensive reductions were according to the Moniteur de la Flotte to have a displacement of around 28.000 ton, a belt with a thickness of 33cm, a speed of 25 miles and a main armament of 6-40,1cm guns to be superior to the newest German battleships with a main armament of 38,1cm guns. The French magazine called the new type cuirassé rapide [fast battleship].(1)
