US Navy possessed less battleships as was allowed by the Washington Nalavl Treat according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 11 January 1925

An item referred to the American naval budget reporting that the USA had less 1st class battleships as was allowed under the limitations of the Naval Treaty of Washington (1) , but considered destroyers and submarines was the USA ahead of the other naval powers. The following figures were supplied by the Reuter press of the rations between the British, American and Japanese navies, namely destroyers 5-7-2, submarines 5-7-6 and 1st class battleships 5-4-3-.
