Coal consumption of the British scout cruiser HMS Boadicea during her trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 3

An item referred to the German magazine Schiffbau dealing with the trials of the British warships completed in 1909. The HMS Boadicea (1) fitted out with Yarrow boilers had during her 30 hours trial with a speed of 13,5 miles and a horsepower of 3.850 hp a coal consumption of 2,26 lbs per hour/hp, 30 hours trial with a speed of 19,5 miles, 15.300 hp a coal consumption of 1,41 lbs per hour/hp and during the 8 hours trial with a speed of 21 miles and 18.500 hp and a coal consumption of 1,44 lbs per hour/hp.

1. Of the Boadicea-class scout cruisers consisting of the Boadicea and Bellona, preceded by the Sentinel class and succeeded by the Blonde-class. Laid down at the Pembroke Dockyard on 1 June 1907, launched on 14 May 1908, completed in June 1909, decommissioned on 18 February 1920 and sold to be broken up in 13 July 1926.
