Dutch 1st charter Olifant, also called Witte Olifant 1666-1686

Of the admiralty Amsterdam, fast sail ship, built by Jan van Rheenen at naval yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1666, last mentioned as lying in the mud and leaking in 1686, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 171 x 43 x 16 and armament of 82-92 guns. In flagship 1667 squadron vice admiral I. Sweers, raid on Chatham, 1672 commanding officer I. Sweers, 21 August 1673 Sweers killed at battle of Kijkduin.
