Russian sloops Wisla and Naref built by British firm according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1895-1896 No. 7

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the firm Escher, Wijs&Co. built for Russian regiments army engineers specialized in building temporarily bridges 2 steel made naphtha sloops named Wisla and Naref. The machinery consisted of 2 Thornycroft screw turbines allowing a contracted speed of 12 kilometres during 3 hours. Fuel bunker capacity for 30 hours. Transport capacity 20 complete fitted out soldiers weighing 1.600 kilos with a maximum draught of 0.37 metres. Both sloops achieved a speed of 14 kilometres with a draught of 0,35 metres and the contracted capacity.
