US Navy standardizing devices and parts according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1901-1902 no. 11

An item reported that the US Navy was busy with standardisation of the different models of devices and parts used on board of her ships. Models for bolts, nuts, watertight doors, toggles and so on were already determined.
