An item dated Singapore 10th reported the passing of the outer harbour of Singapore of 45 Russian warships towards the east probably destined for Saigon. The Russian consul stated that the hull of some of the Russian warships was covered with kelp with a length of one foot. It was believed that admiral Nielly would pick up the laggards in the Strait of Malacca. Where the Japanese warships were was not known.(1)
