Italy building several cruisers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1934 no. 7

Emmanuele Filiberto Duca d’Aosta

An item referred to the magazine Rivista Marittima dated October 1934 reporting the launching of the Italian cruiser Emmanuele Filiberto Duca d’Aosta (1) of the improved Condottiere design. The armament was increased from 4 to 6 torpedo tubes. The Eugenio di Savoia (2) and Muzio Attendolo (3) were to launch the same year. On 30 August at Genoa was the 5.250 ton cruiser Montecucolli (4) with a speed of 37 miles launched.

2. Duca d’Aosta-class, laid down on 6 July 1933, launched on 16 March 1934, commissioned on 16 January 1936, handed over to Greece and decommissioned as the Elli in June 1951, decommissioned in 1965 and broken up in 1973.
