Organisation of the Swedish coastal defence according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1911-1912 no. 4

An item reported that the complete Swedish coastal defence was a responsibility of the navy.  Some officers of the engineering corps were added to the navy for maintenance and making new designs.
